What's the Deal with Chocolate Mint?

I have nothing against the combination, but 90% of my Christmas candy consists of both chocolate and mint in some form, passionately intermingling as if they haven't seen each other in years. Like two distant lovers rekindling, I can see them: Mint, away on business for six months steps through Gate C and pauses, searching the crowd longingly for Chocolate and the kids; Andes, York, and Reese (Chocolate's child from a previous marriage). It's Christmas Eve, and watching hopefully, Chocolate sees Mint standing in the gate. After a brief run, dodging the other traveling treats, Chocolate envelopes Mint in a milky coating that allows its sweetness to shine through, and for the next few weeks they are inseparable.

Thanks to this, I'm not allowed a sweet desert unless it refreshes at the same time. As much as I like chocolate mint, I quickly grow weary, and hope that this doesn't become a holiday tradition.

I've never had the expensive kind.
But I imagine that if it's all I had I'd get sick of it still.

Chocolate Mint is good, but I can't eat it as candy is all.

Plus, all I have are Milky Way bars with mint and Andes.
